5. Mumbai’s lung cancer burden rising among non-smokers: report.

A report titled Cancer Incidence in India, published on February 3, by the Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, Tata Memorial Centre, shows that adenocarcinoma, the most common type of lung cancer, which often affects non-smokers as well, has overtaken squamous cell carcinoma as the dominant lung cancer subtype in the city, particularly among women.
